Floor materials respond differently to moisture and cleaning products. Before using any floor cleaner, check both the product label and the care guidance for the flooring. When suitability is uncertain, test a small hidden area and wait until it is fully dry.
Start with loose dirt
Sweep or vacuum before wet cleaning. Loose grit can spread through the mop water and may scratch some surfaces. Pay attention to corners, entrance areas and spaces under movable furniture.
Follow the stated dilution
If the label requires dilution, measure the product and water as directed. Do not make the mixture stronger without instructions. Prepare only the amount needed for the current job and never store a diluted mixture in an unlabelled container.
Use a suitable tool
- Use a clean mop or cloth intended for the floor type.
- Do not use the same mop in the toilet area and living areas.
- Change dirty water instead of spreading it across other rooms.
- Use extra care on surfaces that can become slippery when wet.
Work in sections
Begin at the far side of the room and move toward the exit. Avoid walking over the wet area. Ventilate the room and allow the floor to dry before children or pets enter.
Special surfaces need extra caution
Natural stone, polished surfaces, wood, laminate and coated floors may require specific products or lower moisture. A general floor cleaner should not be assumed safe for every material. Check the floor manufacturer’s care instructions and the Drcleanx pack label before use.
